A Bit of Gardening

Mild winter days have been the norm here this year. We have been spending lots of time outside enjoy the gifts God has given us.

Yesterday we did a little gardening. The first of the year.

Hope wanted to look for earthworms as soon as we got up to the garden. She found two, who she named Lily and Libby, after her two friends from out of town. They are twins you know, and so are these worms according to Hope.

Not a great picture of the earthworm hole but Hope spent so much time just investigating it.

Time to transplant her sunflower from co-op class. She found it fascinating that all those roots came from that tiny seed and fit in the cup.

We also started our tomato seeds. A bit late, but that is okay. Smile

We spent some time swinging and looking up at the clouds making cloud pictures.

See the blooms on our tree? Yep, spring is on the way.

I have been meaning to start seeds forever. The weather has been so nice and it just cries out for seeds to be planted. It's always fun to do it with little ones. They are so amazed at this new little growth - so full of wonder.

Haha, Amanda, I think I picked up a thing or two from you.

Cinnamon, it is always such a fun project to do with little ones.

Sally, glad Henry is enjoying his sunflower, he was very into the planting in class.
