Father’s Day

Father’s Day started out by going to church together. Seth and Sterling each had obligations at their church and Brittany was several hours away but all that could be with us were there.

We heard  a wonderful message about Noah’s priority as a father, which was to teach his family (as well as others) about the Lord and to assure their safety from the coming judgement. Our pastor reminded us that there is another judgement we need to be preparing ourselves and our family for, the judgement of fire. It was a wonderful message and one that made me think once again about the importance of teaching our children about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. He has made a way for us to escape that judgement and has even prepared a place in heaven for us.  

Then we all came home and enjoyed a little “down” time and a little grilling for Dad.

I am very thankful for Ricky. He has always taken his responsibility of providing for his children very seriously. Through the years he has taught them many things and they have all turned out to have great work ethics.
