Last week we took a field trip to the farm of a fellow homeschooling family.
We had an amazing time! Julie and her daughter Olivia made the day extra special.
A little history lesson about the farm. This made the field trip extra special.
Olivia giving a spinning demonstration.
Wool dyed with Kool-aid, what bright colors!
Julie with Sweat Pea
Animal and bee lessons, of course we came home with some yummy honey.
Beautiful 1873 farm house
The day ended with a few fun activities for the children and a picnic lunch in the back yard.
What a fun day with other homeschooling families learning and fellowshipping together.
Just another reason I love homeschooling. We have opportunities to learn in the real world., learning through experience. My goal is to open up a huge world for Hope. Learning is about experiencing, not just reading about the experience of someone else.
What types of experiences are you having this year?
